Check this out! Just some more stuff to get you hyped about the upcoming season.

Great Teaser Trailer for Season 6

Saturday, November 25th, 2006

I found this video on YouTube. It’s a great teaser trailer. There’s a few different scenes in it from the original trailer.

Like the part where the Chinese Diplomat says “Jack Bauer is no longer China’s enemy.”

I’m really interested on what went on there to make it so Jack could be returned to the States. How did the States find out he was captured by the Chinese specifically? I can’t wait!

FOX to Sell First 4 Episodes of Season 6 on DVD

Wednesday, November 22nd, 2006

I’ve been hearing rumors around the internet, and it’s sounding like FOX is going to be selling the first 4 episodes of this upcoming season on DVD the Tuesday after the Sunday/Monday four hour season premiere.

To tell you the truth I’m not sure what FOX is trying to accomplish with this. If it’s an effort to try and curb the bittorrent crew out there, I just don’t see it working.

The disc is going to cost $14.98, which is a little under half of what you’d pay for the entire DVD once it came out (Amazon always sells pre-oder DVD’s at a very discounted price).

I think it’s an innovative idea, don’t get me wrong, but I just don’t understand the overall thinking of this plan. This will not stop the bittorrent people out there. And are the networks REALLY worried about bittorrents? The amount of people that actually have a Tivo or DVR and use those to skip commercials seem to dwarf the amount of people that know how to effectively download and use bittorrents.

I’ll be interested to see what sort of numbers they put up after this. Like how many sold. It’ll be interesting.

Extras you can expect on Season 5

Tuesday, November 21st, 2006

So what are some of the extras you can expect on the season 5 DVD which comes out December 5th?

Here’s a list:
* season 6 trailer
* season 6 prequel (probably like the mini-episodes on the season 4 and season 5 DVD sets, which give us glimpses of Jack Bauer’s life between the end of last season and the beginning of the next one)
* short featurette on the supporting players of “24″
* short featurette called “unsung heroes: 24 camera department”
* music by Sean Callery
* short featurette on President Logan’s L.A. retreat
* extra DVD-ROM features
* “100th episode reel” (I’m not sure what this is)
* an excerpt from the book “24: behind the scenes”
* 23 extended or deleted scenes that you can watch with or without a commentary track

Add in some commentary from Kiefer, Cassar, and the rest of the 24 gang, and you’ve got yourself a smoking new DVD. I’ve got seasons 1-4 and this will most likely be on my Christmas list.

Last Year’s Preview of 24

Sunday, November 19th, 2006

Last year right after the season ended they showed this preview for Season 6. It’s short and sweet, but lets take a trip back in time and watch it shall we…

New 24 Pics Surfacing

Wednesday, November 15th, 2006

First off check out this sweet Promo cast picture that I found over at 24podcast.net (which is a sweet site BTW)…

You can notice a few things from this. Seems like Chole’s husband, the weird British guy from the end of last season, is back.

Milo from the very first season seems to have returned. Where’s Curtis or Aaron? I hope they’re still on the show. They are two of my favorite. It’ll be weird not having Tony around :(

The check out the blog there. Some sweet pictures of Kiefer getting ready to do a stunt in front of a house about to be blown up.

Kiefer Drunk, Attacking a Christmas Tree

Monday, November 13th, 2006

Kiefer Sutherland plays stone cold Jack Bauer so well, but what’s he like when he’s just Kiefer?

Well, a documentary about him and a rock band he managed aired on MTV a few days back, and now the infamous video of my attacking a Christmas tree in a hotel lobby has finally surfaced. Take a look…

Yeah apparently Kiefer’s quite the crazy drunk.

President Logan is Coming Back?

Thursday, November 9th, 2006

This was news to me. I thought the man would’ve been hung for treason after last season, but apparently the whinning little good-for-nothing ex-President is going to be back in a recurring role according to this article on Reuters.

I almost got to the point, last season, where every time President Logan was on the screen I wanted to throw something at my TV. I couldn’t stand the site of him. He was like a little worm that always seemed to slip through Jack’s grasp. Even at the very end he sold poor Jack out to the Chinese.

Yes it’s true I am the owner of seasons 1 thru 4 of 24. I love the show!

Just a reminder, season 5 hits store shelves everywhere on December 25th. I usually purchase my TV on DVD at Amazon.com. They always have amazing prices.

Special Extended Trailer for Season 6

Tuesday, November 7th, 2006

As I was browsing around 24’s official website on Fox.com. I noticed that they had a link that said ‘Special Extended Trailer for Season 6.’ It made me curious. So, I watched it.

Although, not much has changed, and really the only difference I can tell is there’s a part where Jack seems to kick a suicide bomber out of a subway while it’s moving and then the man explodes, it still seems about the same. But, it’s worth watching again and again, just because it’s one of the most intense trailers I’ve seen for anything, TV or movie.

Peter MacNicol is on Season 6 of 24

Monday, November 6th, 2006

I have NO idea what role he’s actually playing, but Peter MacNicol cracks me up and I don’t know what to think about him on a show like 24.

I remember him from Ghostbusters 2, and his most wonderful line saying “EVIL?”

Eddie Izzard Quits Cast of 24

Thursday, November 2nd, 2006

It seems british comedian couldn’t stand the wrath of Jack Bauer (actually it was “scheduling conflicts”).

Reports are that Eddie spent one day filming then quit the show. That’s wierd. Wouldn’t you know before you filmed one day that you wouldn’t be able to do anymore? Well, I don’t know how the TV business works, all I can say is that this doesn’t count on Jack’s Kill Count.

24 rolls forward!

Kiefer Talks 24 Movie Details

Wednesday, November 1st, 2006

For all of you that are concerned about how the 24 movie is going to play out, here’s the skinny.
I found an article on National Ledger.

The movie will be a 2 hour representation of a ‘24′ hour day.
Kiefer explains:

“It will be weird because the film will be a two-hour representation of the 24 day, which will really give us an incredible amount of freedom, he says.

I don’t know what to think about this. The whole hour by hour thing is what made the show ground-breaking and original. Take away that, and what do you have? The Sentinel? Please, anything but that!

As of right now I have faith in the 24 team.

But, this could truly make or break season 8. As the movie will be placed between seasons 7 and 8, if people think the movie was awful. Then they’ll be less likely to watch the upcoming season.
