Weekly Awards:
The Martha Logan Consipracy Theorist Award: Given to Henry Taylor for sounding almost as crazy as she did. Let’s see if he ends up getting committed for awhile, too…
The Jack Bauer Award: Presented to Renee Walker for going from a by-the-book agent to a Bauer wannabe in about 5 seconds flat.
The Computer Geek of the Week: This is a tie between Janis and Chloe, since they both got one up on eachother.
Best Line of the Week: “Why Aren’t You Dead?” Jack to Tony.
Well, that’s all for now. Take care and I’ll see you next time with more. By the way… I think a new logo for the countdown would be appropriate. If anyone would like to help with this, let me know.

Renee should lose points for allowing herself to be knocked out.President Taylor ripped her Secretary of State, not her Chief of Staff, a new one in front of her cabinet, not other “chiefs of staff”. Senator Meyer should lose points for not knowing Eric, his son, constantly smoked pot in his basement for years with his friends Hyde, Kelso and Fez before he caught him.

Chloe (100)
-Commenting on Jack’s appearance during the Senate hearings (+8)
-Guiding Jack and Tony out of the FBI offices (+7)
-Winning the re-match with Janis (+9)
=== 108

Just another thing, your forgot Bill “recap” Buchanan, who did a very good recap job about why they are running an unofficial CTU agency.
And he should also get points for his new awesome look.

Is it just me, or does 100+8+7+9 != 108 , (for Chloe).
I think you meant -8?
Glad to see you’re back though!!!

Chloe somehow reached a grand total of 108 when her 24 points were added to her beginning total of 100. Was something there supposed to be a negative, or did you leave something off?

The “check the airline website” award - Sean Hillinger, for hacking into the FBI system when a simple “where is my flight” check is available on any airline site.
The “guilt by camera angle” award - The First Gentleman’s FBI agent. Looking at a hero through binoculars is a dead giveaway. He’s in on it.
Great to have the countdown back!

It’s good to see the Character Countdown back.
1st issue: You owe Chloe 16 points in her final total.
2nd: You gotta give Tony maybe 10 or even 20 points for just coming back from the dead. I mean he’s a big big part of 24’s history, so give him his due at least for showing back up on the show.
However, you have to take away some Tony points for him allowing himself to be caught by Jack and Renee. He used to be smoother than that. Before he died, I mean.
And I’m not sure if it’s too early to give President Taylor the “President Logan memorial Wishy Washy about Terrorist Negotiations Award”, but if it is too early, I can see it coming around the bend somewhere. We all know that President Wayne Palmer gets the ultimate “Wishy Washy” award.
And finally, give Chloe and Bill’s hideout the “Flip this house Candidate” award. They really must’ve shopped around before settling down there. And where’s Morris and Chloe, jr.? What’s up with all that? I know. I know. We’ve got this terrorist crisis thing going on, but hey, let’s fill in a blank here and there, okay? I mean, are they and Karen in a couple of upstairs rooms or what?
Thanks.

I think Jack deserves many more points for breaking Tony out.
One moment he says “He’s at FBI headquarters Bill..”, fast forward a couple minutes and you have him saying “Bill, I did what you wanted. I got Tony out of there.”
I think we’re gonna have many more scenes like that during the rest of the season.
Also, “-‘Interrogating’ Tanner (-4)”, I think Renee deserves positive points for that. After all, this *is* 24, isn’t it?
January 20th, 2009 at 1:08 am
I meant to say:
I DON’T think we’re gonna have many more scenes like that during the rest of the season.

Chloe (100)
-Commenting on Jack’s appearance during the Senate hearings (+8)
-Guiding Jack and Tony out of the FBI offices (+7)
-Winning the re-match with Janis (+9)

The math seems a little fuzzy to me…

Hi, Asa and everyone who commented on Chloe’s score. Thanks for the head’s up. I must’ve done some subtracting by accident. Her score should, in fact, be 124. Thanks again and I’m loving the comments so far! I’ll be back to chat some more later.

Jack’s is wrong too… his should be 137…
January 21st, 2009 at 12:55 pm
Also, how come Renee doesn’t get points for being hot? What happened to the dude that wrote this last year?
January 21st, 2009 at 6:54 pm
LOL, true. I took away the points, though, because it just seemed off to me for her to be a ‘by the book’ chick when we first meet her and in only a couple of hours be moving on to Jack’s ways. Damn, he’s good, isn’t he?
January 21st, 2009 at 6:56 pm
heh… that is a good award for her and I may have to use that one of these days soon. As for Tony… you do have a point on that. Finally… yes, I would also love to know what happened to their significant others. Maybe they’ll be a last minute surprise later.

ROFLMAO…. ya know, the whole time I was watching that scene, I just kept seeing Red Forman. Maybe that’s why the character didn’t come off too well to me. Thanks for pointing out my error on the SoS. I need to type slower. I write too fast and end up having weird stuff come out sometimes.

Not sure what happened to the old author, but thanks for the comment. Sorry for the lack of points for her on that. I was too busy drooling over Tony’s new costume. LOL.
