24 in TV Guide

by

Well, school and finales are finally over for me, which is a huge relief.

Alright, let’s get down to business. This week’s special TV Guide is focuses on “Finale Fever.” It’s getting to that time where all the shows are about to end, and TV Guide has some great insight into what is going to happen in 24’s season finale and also what we might be able to expect for next year’s season.

In the article it talks about how fans have been “groaning” this year about how this season has completely derailed the exciting show. When Kiefer hears this he just laughs and says

“Just wait. There’s a huge transition that’s happening between this season and next year, and a lot of what’s happening is about putting old story lines to rest so that new ones can emerge.”

That sounds very interesting and most likely has to do with the secret someone that is going to show up at the end of the season and pick Jack up. The article confirms that we are going to see someone that we have thought was long dead, but they are coming back with a “vengeance.” (My guess is still Tony).

Sutherland continues saying, regarding next season:

“I’d like to see a huge departure. We go back and forth from the White House and CTU to the field, but I’d like to see that change up.”

(I’m in perfect agreement there).

“The idea of moving out of L.A. is definitely interesting. If it’s feasible production-wise, we’d love to set the show elsewhere and see Jack do something completely new.”

Here’s hoping that it is “feasible production-wise.” How cool would it be to see Jack in D.C. or even in another country on an actual field operation to hunt down terrorists? I still stand by my suggestion of an African Warlord taking on Jack Bauer. Especially if the Warlord was played by Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje. Here’s hoping the writers read this site.

What are some things you’d like to see changed for next season?

    MORE JACK!!!

  2. Ross B Says:

Im a massive Tony Almeida fan

However I was wondering if this character is coming back for “vengeance” and its Tony who is on his radar?

Christopher Henderson he’s in 24 heaven
Graem Bauer is also in 24 heaven
Charles Logan was on his way to 24 heaven (does anyone know when we will know about Charlie Logan)

These are 3 people behind the attacks on himself, David “The Bear” Palmer and Michelle

    Does anyone have any suggestions?

  3. Jay Says:

Bye Bye CTU and White House,

    Hello JACK!!!

  4. S.a.m. Says:

still, how risky is that?! It seems 24 has lost a lot of views this season (is that true, Aaron? What do the ratings say?), and for the sake of a transitioning storyline? Can they get those views back next season even if it is the exciting 24 of old? If I were a show producer, I’d be really hesitant about that plan!

  5. Phil Urich Says:

Tony does seem a likely candidate, but discounting him I’m wondering if it’d be Nina. Not sure whether I’m betting on it or just kindof hoping for it (it could turn out really well if done right, I think).

Either way, better be someone for S1. Otherwise Jack is the only one really still alive from then, sans helpless daughter of course.

  6. Mer! Says:

I’m betting on Almeida… but I’ll be honest, it’s because I miss him so much! It’d be a good move to segue the viewers into the new season in a big way. 24 may have faltered a little bit this season, but it seems every show has a weak point at one time or another.

But, a relatively weak season of 24 is a hell of a lot better than a great season of any other show!!! :o)

  7. Willy Says:

I think it’ll be Ahmed from earlier in this season. He’s gonna come back all pissed off because his school buddies can’t pronounce his name right, and after getting in some scuffles, it’ll be 21 hilarious and pot-fueled episodes of him trying to get to In-And-Out for some burgers.

  8. Ken Says:

Does anyone really believe that if Nina showed up again, there is no way Jack wouldn’t shoot her in the face? The only thing that kept her alive the previous two (three) times was info.

    What if it’s Walid? :)

  9. Jack Raines Says:

    Nina would be great!

  10. Jack Raines Says:

    Nina!

  11. Rod Says:

I’m guessing Jack is killed by Tony and Doyle takes over the show.

  12. S.a.m. Says:

I bet Terri Bauer comes back with an even more boy-ish haircut. …wait, that’s impossible. The is no more boy-ish haircut.

  13. Marc Says:

    @Willy,
Love it. That would be ridiculously funny! :)

  14. Jack Raines Says:

    Re: Rod

Jack would never got killed off, ever.

  15. Lucas Says:

Just for all you Tony Almeida/Carlos Bernard fans out there, I have a little treat for you all. There was a television miniseries called “10.5 Apocalypse” that stars none other than Tony Almeida. It is a very classic natural disaster movie chock full of sweet special effects. Check it out sometime!

  16. Lucas Says:

Also, have ya’ll thought about the next season featuring the kid in the CTU the Rookie thing. Here is a link: http://www.watching24.com/category/ctu-the-rookie/

Maybe the producers of 24 combine 24 with a reality tv show called “The Next Top CTU Agent”
