24 Ratings War Continues

by

I will confess that when it comes to that looney coporation Neisen Media Research, I have no idea what everything means. All these shares and ratings. I have no idea what they mean. So I just look at total viewers.

According to TV.com:

24 snagged 15.3 million viewers

Heroes took…13.6 million total viewers

That’s purely the information that I got from TV.com. Follow the link above to see the whole story. On the Heroes quote I took out the “rating” and “share” because I’m just focusing on total viewers.

So, going by total viewers it seems that 24 edged out Heroes this week by almost 2 million people. That’s the kind of news I like to hear.

    No joke.

Heroes needs multiple heroes to draw readers in. 24 only needs one!

    What about Charlie Sheen?!

  3. Aaron Says:

Sheen is dead. Sheen is dead.

I don’t get the ratings either, this site has the same data but says that Heroes beat out 24…

Even though 24 had more viewers Heroes still had a better rating? I dunno.

  5. Pete W Says:

Thanks to Tivo, competing shows can now share the same audience. It’s not about which show that won, but whether or not enough people were watching to justify the ad rate.

  6. steve Says:

Yeah, I assume the networks only care who watched the show “live” - the tivoed show gets FF’ed through the ads.

The Sheen is dead? Long live the Sheen!
But did Charlie ever get Martin to appear on Two and a Half Men? That would be one up on Kiefer, wouldn’t it?

  7. steve Says:

    btw - couldn’t avoid the double-take when I read “24 shagged 15.3 million viewers.”

  8. Paul Levinson Says:

Agree completely. I thought this past Monday’s show wasn’t the greatest, but all in all, 24 is one of the best shows ever to be on tv.

I post blog reviews of each episode of 24, within 24 minutes of its ending (10:24pm), over at http://paullevinson.blogspot.com And I put up a podcast review a few minutes later. Reviews of Episodes 1-6 are there.

Ha, there was an Advertisement on this post for Chloe’s Open Socket!

    I wonder what that is?

Is this some secret Chloe clue?
