Watching 24

Hey everyone welcome to another week of the Jolt Energy Gum comment contest. First I want to apologize to Willy, I haven’t sent him his gum yet, but rest assured it’ll be sent on Friday.

As for last week’s winner, again it was tough. But, in the end I picked the one that made me chuckle right when I read it. Here was the picture for last week’s contest.

Right now I don’t have time to list a 2nd and 3rd place, I’m rushing out the door. But, for 1st place and a pack of awesome Jolt Energy Gum is….

I love the word skootch and thought how funny it would be to hear Jack saying that. And everyone hates the middle seat, but Jack is the only one that would use a gun to get his way. Good job Jose, I’ll email you later to get your information.

Alright, I know for sure you’ve all been waiting for this. It’s your chance to win some wonderful Jolt Energy Gum loaded with caffeine.

Here’s the way this contest is going to go. I’m going to put up an image from past seasons of 24, or even the present season. And your job is to come up with a funny and clever, caption, title, or whatever you want to write about the image that is presented. Then just post your clever caption in the comments.

At the end of the week (on Sunday) I’ll pick the one I think is the most clever, and then I’ll contact the winner and send them some free gum.

I hope everyone can have fun with these little contests.

A few of my dreams came true today.

First, was receiving something for free from a PR firm because of my site.

Second, was the fact that the thing I received from the PR firm was none other than 24 Jolt Energy Gum. That’s right, caffeinated gum people. There’s a tiny diagram on the box indicating that just 2 pieces of Jolt Energy Gum equal 1 cup of coffee.

Third, is now I will be able to share my fortune among my readers. Every week we’re going to have a contest. I’ll announce and explain what the contest will be tomorrow. But, you’ll all have a chance to win a pack of Energy Gum. This will be great!

I’ve had a chance to try a piece and I can attest to its ability to give you an uplift. It really is an ingenious way to get caffeine in your body.

I’ve got 24 packs here and I’ll be sending them out after every weekly contest.

So I’m sure everyone out there would like a free copy of 24 Season 5 on DVD right? I know I would, I’m kind of mad I can’t win this.

But, here’s the deal. Starting today, and ending next Tuesday (after the Character Countdown) we will be holding a comment contest. Now this doesn’t mean that the best comment wins, what it does mean is that next Tuesday I will run a program that will randomly pick a comment that has been left between those times and that person will win Season 5 on DVD.

There are only a few rules:

-You can comment on any post as many times as you want between now and next Tuesday.

-Your comment must be beneficial to the group as a whole. Meaning your comment must add something to the conversation. In other words comments like “Great post,” or “That episode was so cool,” won’t be counted. But, pretty much all of you that do leave comments does a pretty good job of that.

-Since this will be a random selection, consequentially the more comments you leave the greater a chance you have at winning. So feel free to discuss posts with each other in the comments, just make sure that it’s relative to 24.

-Please leave your CORRECT email with the comments. That is how I’ll contact you if you won, so make sure it’s on there.

Well, yesterday was the last day to enter your guesses for the Jack Bauer Kill Count Contest. I really don’t need to mention it because it seems to me that pretty much every number is taken. Thanks for all of you that entered in the contest. I can’t wait to see who wins, and am sad that it can’t be me.

It’s tough to say at this time where Jack’s kills are going to end up. He’s only killed two people, but he’s just getting madder so it’s only a matter of time until the body count rises I think.

We here at Watching24.com feel that the beginning of 24 is a reason of celebration. That’s why yesterday we put up the 500$ Jack Bauer Kill Count Contest and that’s why today we’re giving away a FREE copy of 24 Season 5 on DVD.

Here’s the rules:

Somewhere in my past posts I have hidden a quote from a past season of 24. Find the quote is your first task. Once you find that quote, you need to tell me who said it and in what season.

I made the contest hard, but not TOO hard for you 24 nuts. You’ll pick up on the clues in the quotation.

Once you know it all post a comment telling me 1. What post contains the quotation. 2. What season the quotation was said in. 3. Who said it.

Give me all three of those and season 5 is yours.

That’s right, we here at Watching24.com are giving away $500 dollars to the person that can guess the exact number of kills Jack Bauer will have this season.

You are guessing the exact number of how many kills Jack Bauer will have in season 6 of 24.

You have until February 1st to enter your guesses. Any guesses after that cannot be taken. Since this is a guess on number of kills the further the season goes on the better knowledge you’d likely have of guessing. So, February 1st will be the deadline.

The money will be paid through Paypal at the end of the season once the kills from Jack have been totaled.

Please only put guesses in the comments, and do not email them.

In the event of a tie (two people guessed the right number) we shall go back and see who was the first to submit that number and they will be the winner.

There you have it, $500 bucks up for grabs to the person that can guess the correct number of Jack’s kills for season 6.
