Character/Actor of the Week
Good morning, everyone! If you read the Housewives blog, you know I do a feature called “Character/Actor of the Week”. Well, this week I wanna bring that over here because of one person: Janis Gold/Janeane.
I know some fans mock her for being a weaker version of Chloe, but she’s kicking butt so far… especially this past episode. I can’t help it, I have a weakness for sassy and in charge type female characters. I wasn’t so sure when I heard Janeane was going to be on the show. She’s mostly known for satire and comedy, so I didn’t know how she’d do in such a serious show. So far, I think she’s owning every bit of techno speak. The look on her face when the manager died was great as well. Despite all that, they’re remembering to throw in a bit of comic relief for her, too. Something else she rocks at. Here are a few of my favorite lines from her:
“I can live without your negativity today, Sean”. Ok, I admit it’s not the funniest line on paper. Still, she makes it work.
“Ma’am, as I just stated, I’m with the FBI. Does that sound vaguely important to you?” I love her attitude here and the stupidity of the whole thing. Maybe it’s just me, but if the FBI comes a calling, I think I’ll pay attention and put em through.
“Normally, I don’t allow people to call me honey, but we can discuss that later”
“Yeah, well, sounds like you need to lighten up” This exchange with the plant manager was hilarious for the randomness of it. I mean, really. Her statement was so out of place there.
