This preview wasn’t all that bad…What I thought was worse was that the Chinese were willing to take out a handfull of guards all to make this believable to kill the agent. Wouldn’t it had been just easier to kill both suspects in the first place?"

That's because it's a "show". They've made Jack think he broke and gave classified information to the Chinese, which I think sharply weakened his self-confidence as you can see in Day 6.

Hey, Mom7! I just wanted to give you your due for being a responsible and open-minded parent and actually watching this show with your kids. If more people did that instead of clutching their pearls over every little thing and trying to get it censored, we'd be better off. Btw... do the kids have any favorite characters?

Well, our 7 are ages 15-3yrs. With that spread and a mom who is NUTS about 24 and dad not far behind, all of them have watched 24 in some way or another. My almost 3 yr old calls our blond balding friend Jack Bauer (he is sooo not like Jack so that is too funny) and our now 8 yr old went from "I hate that number show with the beep beep beeps" to loving it almost as much as me! We are quick to point out that we screen for skin over violence any day and only the older 2 are allowed to see any of it unsupervised. We joke about doing the drinking games with pop, but have never gotten that far and we rush home from piano lessons every week to see our show. Little one actually asks to have her eyes covered when things get intense. We usually try to get them involved in some other show or to bed early, but that just does not always happen. You know, when we were allowed to live vicariously through our action heros, there were fewer kids doing evil in the schools. We all know Jack is this side of a cartoon and our Monday "family" viewing is always an opportunity to educate about what is real and what is not. Most of the time, the commercials are more objectionable than the show anyway (that skin thing or scary movies).
