Graem’s (or Jack’s) Son?
With all the questions swirling around this young fellow that showed up in episode 5 this past
Monday, I’d like to ask the Watching 24 readers what they think.
A few readers have brought up the possibility of Graem’s son, Josh, actually being Jack’s son. We already know, by the way Graem was acting, that Jack has had something more than a friendship with Graem’s wife.
So what do you think? Could this kid actually be Jack’s son, not Graem’s? And if he is, is Graem actually doing all of this because of some stupid sibling rivalry because Jack has been with his wife? I hope it doesn’t turn out to be that easy. Letting off nukes and killing Presidents because you’re mad at your brother, I just hope it doesn’t turn out that that’s the real reason Graem is a terrorist.
Now if Graem is doing this because he’s never had that full head of hair like his brother, I’d be okay with that.

Or perhaps he became an arch-villain because everyone spelled his name wrong.
Since Josh is obviously younger than Kim, if he were his son we would have to accept that Jack had another extramarital affair before the one with Nina (albeit when he and Teri were separated). I don’t have a problem with this, but at some point don’t Jack’s infidelities start to negatively impact the way he’s perceived by a lot of the audience? Or is it a “Jack’s only human” ploy to go along with the drug addiction? Most importantly, how the hell does he find the time?

I hope not… that would just be a little too soap operaish for me. Plus i think it would be hard to tie it into season one with kim and his first wife… I just don’t think that would be a good plot line for the show to follow.

I think the writers/producers are trying to dive into his past some more so we can get to know him more personally. I think they’ve had success with the storylines that have to do with his personal relationships. I hope Josh is not Jack’s son since they hinted at it so heavily. I’d like to think the writers/producers are a little more sly than that. But he certainly does seem to be more like Jack than Graem.

Maybe he’s just a kid who looks like his uncle. Jack and Graeme ARE brothers. It could just be family resemblance.

I photoshopped Josh and Kim side-by-side, and I have to say, if they’re not siblings, then at very least, we’re meant to think they are. I don’t know if I can put in html in this box, but I’ll try.
