Let’s Go on a Mole Hunt!
Well, I’m just ecstatic that 24 is back to its old self. There’s a mole inside CTU that’s “subverting the system.” So, I decided that now is as good as time as any to take everyone on a Mole Hunt with me.
I’m going to give you my top 5 guesses on who the mole is and why I think that. Feel free to add your own guesses in the comments, or tell me how wrong I really am.
Ok, lets stop wasting time and get the hunt underway!
1. Milo
My first guess is Milo. There was something about him during this episode that just didn’t seem right. And he’s clever. So, he got shot in the line of duty that would totally not make him a mole right? Wrong, remember Nina? Jack shot her, and she still ended up being the mole. Also, did you notice that Milo was not in the room when Morris just so happened to lose the drone on the satellite feed. Was that because Milo took that time to feed the terrorists the information, you bet it was!
2. Rick “Mikey Doyle” Schroder AKA “Scrotum Face”
This guy is up to no good I can feel it. Right when it’s announced there’s a mole in CTU he tries to divert everyone’s attention to Nadia? She’s the only “Mooooooslum” in the room right, it must be her. You know what, it’s always the new guy. Doyle has a shady past, a craggy face, and an attitude. If it’s not Milo it’s him.
3. Vice President Boothe’s Aid, Lisa
I know she doesn’t work at CTU, but I think she’s part of some grander conspiracy. She could be the mastermind that helped out with the assassination of President Palmer, and may also be in charge of recruiting the mole over at CTU. I realize that this one is a bit far fetched, but she’s hiding something. She really wants these nukes to go off you can tell.
4. Nadia
Wouldn’t it just be hilarious if Nadia was actually the mole? Maybe this whole time she’s been playing Milo from the beginning, using her feminine wiles to woo Milo into giving up his password. Maybe she’s some kind of deadly vixen, much like Mandy or Nina. It’d be a great cover wouldn’t it? I mean she got Milo to give her his password, and someone’s going to find out about that, and then she could end up framing Milo. Very cunning indeed.
5. Morris
I realize this is about the most far fetched theory of who the mole is, but wouldn’t it be a twist if it was Morris? He was the one that lost the drone in the first place. He’s horribly smart with computers. He’s already armed the nukes for the terrorists so maybe he just thinks that helping the terrorists set them off is the only logical next step. Plus he’s a good for nothing drunk (Note: I really don’t think it’s Morris, I like him I just needed someone to round out a top 5 list)
Tell me what you think. If you had to pick the mole who would you choose?
24, TV, entertainment, Jack Bauer, Mole Hunt, FOX

I could definitely see it being Morris. He was the one that “fixed” the leak in the system after it was discovered. He could have just been covering his tracks!
Although, I wouldn’t take a drill to the back just to keep the act up. Ouch…
March 22nd, 2007 at 1:37 pm
Milo was also in the 1st season and didn’t seem bad, but he is still the most likely one out of the five.
Although I doubt it, I hope it’s stupid Doyle (or as I call him, Stoyle LOLOLOL)
March 22nd, 2007 at 1:44 pm
As of this point, there is no substantial evidence on anyone to narrow it down. Milo was from Season 1 and he seems clean as snow. Morris was tortured by the terrorists and FORCED to put the nuke together; there’s no way he’s with the terrorists. I personally don’t want Nadia to be the mole (because she’s too good to look at) but I also don’t think she’s shady at all.
It might be Doyle because he JUST entered the show out of nowhere. Perhaps he and the terrorists coordinated the right timing for him to enter CTU when they were launching the drones.

It’s… get this… Jack! Just think about it. Would you be bitter if you’d been abandoned by your country to the Chinese for two years, and then taken out just so they could throw you to some terrorists? I sure would. He sure has the motive to help the terrorists; sweet, sweet revenge. Nevermind that he relies on Chloe to do anything more complicated than “shoot the bad guy,” and that he was being treated for having fragments of bone floating around his guts wreaking havoc; It’s Jack, people. He can do whatever he wants, whenever he wants.
That’s my theory.
March 22nd, 2007 at 1:54 pm
It’s Chloe.
Something about her. She’s always willing to do things that are against the rules.
March 22nd, 2007 at 2:12 pm
I doubt it’s Doyle, usually they like to pick a character you knew and trusted and then make them the mole. Like Nina. So I say Milo is the most likely… *shrug*
March 22nd, 2007 at 2:19 pm
My money is on Milo. He gave up his password pretty easily a few episodes back. Though, you’re right, it would be funny if it was Nadia. I mean, it’s make her character actually worth something — other then a hot girl who seemingly just tells people things Bill says.

Its Doyle, who thinks he is working for the VP, and he talks to the VP’s aid, who makes him think that he is working for the VP or under direct supervision from the VP.
The VP is in on it, but is pretending not to know anything about what is happening. So my call, two moles and a traitor.
So, you have Doyle, working for the aid, working for the VP. The VP is nothing more then a Logan wannabe with Huge balls.

My first guess is definitely Rick “Mikey Doyle Schroder. He was the first person to point the finger at the most likely person (by race) - Nadia. Being the first person to point the finger is always a good strategy if you want to remain above suspicion, but far too obvious a move for it to work IRL against me. :p
I wouldn’t be so surprised if it DID turn out to be Morris. He had to make it look good enough when he was captured by the Terrorists so he would remain above suspicion. Also, the fact that the person who would have KNOWN that he were the mole, if he is indeed the mole, is NOT the other English dude who selected him to do the nuclear reprogamming. It would have been need-to-know, and he wouldn’t have known that Morris was in fact working for their side all along when he picked him up. Just because Morris got captured by the Terrorists does not mean he cannot be the mole. Of course, this is all just conjecture, as I am fairly certain the mole is Scrotum Face.

I’m betting on Chloe,
She’s been around too long, been to eager to help Jack no matter what she has to do. With Jack gone for so long, she might have sunk into being a mole for revenge against the US for loosing him.
March 22nd, 2007 at 3:47 pm
The whole “get security to the floor” bit and arresting of Nadia fits a 24 formula (i.e., sara in season 4). According to the formula, she will soon be cleared of all wrongdoing. However, as they are prone to do (and do well), the 24 crew is masterful at playing and modifying this formula. Now they are in a good position.
IF it is nadia, then it will be a surprise, and if it’s not nadia, then we still get a good effect.
March 22nd, 2007 at 4:44 pm
I think you’re right. It’s got to be Milo. Why else bring him back from season 1? He didn’t really play that big of a part then, but he was essential in helping Jack, so we trust him now. Just like the writers want, someone we trust, so they can swing it around on us in the end! Plus, Milo’s only defense for Nadia was that Mikey is racist? That seems pretty weak, he didn’t fight much for her after that. It looks like he has a little crush on her, but like Nina, he’s willing to sacrifice anything and anyone for his ‘mission.’
March 22nd, 2007 at 10:36 pm
Can’t be Mikey “Don’t Call Me Popeye” Doyle because he’s a jerk and the jerk is - sadly - never the mole.
To make Nadia the mole now would be ridiculous, likewise Morris.
The VP’s aide is pretty dodgy - anyone working for Powers “Gone To His Head” Booth would have to be - but how would she access CTU’s computers?
Which leaves Milo, which would be a shame because I like the guy. Maybe we’ll find out more about the”Denver Incident” that he and Doyle were involved in and how it turned him?
(Aaron, please deliver appropriate slap on the wrist to those suggesting that its Chloe).
March 22nd, 2007 at 10:37 pm
Are we sure that there is a mole? From what I can remember, all they said was there was a ‘leak’ and that Gredenko’s man had hooked into CTU’s satellite stream.
Couldn’t he have just hacked in by himself? CTU doesn’t exactly seem to have the best security protocols - take Phillip Bauer just wandering around CTU by himself - could their firewall have been compromised from outside, or maybe some tech (Nadia?) made an honest mistake and unknowingly left a ‘port’ open?
Perhaps there is no need for a mole after all… Have I missed something?
March 22nd, 2007 at 11:56 pm
I still don’t think there is a mole at all. All they need to do is hack into the drone pilot’s computer or interrogate the guy to clear Nadia, but Mike might get pissed that he was wrong. Whatever the result, we should know by the second commercial.
March 23rd, 2007 at 3:14 am
I think it was Milo #1, Doyle #2, and then I don’t know after that. The writers of 24 always do the unexpected, so I don’t think any of these guesses are actually correct.
March 23rd, 2007 at 4:59 am
I think it is Doyle. He is very easy to dislike My question is: What about Audrey? Is she really dead or payback by the Chinese govern ent or is this Jack’s excuse to get it on with his sister-in-law?
March 23rd, 2007 at 6:53 am
I think the drone pilot was only 3 blocks away for a reason. He must have been able to hack into the systems from being so close without inside help. Nadia screwed up with the firewall or something earlier in the day so her system was the one infiltrated hence she looks like the bad guy.
March 23rd, 2007 at 7:27 am
It’s Ensign Ricky. I mean Scrotum face, I think there are things that are too predictable. and anyway to continue on the series next season it would have to be somebody with the word expendable in their name. Spock, Kirk, Bones and Ensign Ricky…..Guess who’s not coming back to the ship?
March 23rd, 2007 at 7:46 am
Can’t be Doyle, or he wouldn’t have let Jack land the missile. I’m not conviced there’s a mole yet.
March 23rd, 2007 at 8:39 am
How come nobody thinks it might be “Recap” Bill? Think about it… He’s an aging hero, a fading star. After years of watching Jack Bauer get all the credit (and all the girls), Bill has finally snapped. He figures he’s got it all figured out, “I’ll tell Jack he can’t go on the mission to get the drone pilot. He’ll plead with me to go, and then it’ll look like his idea.”

Hmmm.. maybe not a mole. If I recall correctly, during the first few episodes it was noted that the bad guys were given total control of the CTU computers which is why Chloe could not even move the satellite to follow Jack after he was taken. It could be, that during that time, the bad guys planted some sort of worm or backdoor to allow them to access the system later on - with inside help. As other have said 24 is unpredictable - so anything can and will happen.
PS: I saw Legally Blonde II the other day and noticed that Chloe is there!
March 23rd, 2007 at 11:25 am
I believe the mole is Lisa. There is something about her.She is enguaged in the inner-workings
of the vice-presidents plot to go to war. There has been to many moles in CTU so I’m looking outside the box.
March 23rd, 2007 at 12:57 pm
About Marjie’s post:
You may be correct, I am not 100% confident that Audrey is actually dead, I still think she might appear up somewhere out of hiding.
March 23rd, 2007 at 5:49 pm
I’m pretty sure that it’s not Doyle…in a recent interview (Jimmy Kimmel), “Ricky” apparently said “I hope I’ll be back next season [24]“. So, there you go…a big spoiler for me. =(
March 23rd, 2007 at 7:20 pm
Doesn’t seem likely that Audrey would be alive, given the experience of others who in real life went onto other TV shows — David Palmer in The Unit and the first colonel on M*A*S*H (who the writers had get blown up in the helicopter as he left camp for home). But as seemingly everyone has noted the 24 writers always do the unexpected, so I’m probably totally wrong and we’ll end up seeing Audrey AND her former Secretary of Defense father resurface in the remaining (10?) hours. (Sorry I’ve been tired this week and lost track of time.)
March 24th, 2007 at 3:58 am
@Salvador: goof pickup! I hadn’t thought of that, but yeah Fayed’s men had access to all of CTU’s satellite comms right near the start of the season. I don’t think it would be unrealistic for them to have set something up to make it easier for Gredenko’s guys to hack into the system later.
An then again, Nadia has had firewall problems in the past (Chloe blackmailed her with it near the start of the season), so that would be why her computer was the one hacked/infiltrated and hence explain why she is under suspicion.
I really don’t think there is a mole at all - that would be a nice twist for the writers since everyone seems to think there is one … but only time will tell!
March 24th, 2007 at 4:14 am
doh! I meant “good pickup” … sorry about that
March 26th, 2007 at 11:46 am
The idea of not having a mole seems quite good (a little change from the normal scenario) but I think that at the end there will be one and will be Milo. About Audrey: according to Kim Raver’s official filmography she is part of the cast for the last 8 episodes of day 6, so I really think she’s not dead (remember what Chloe said about DNA testing on Audrey remains? She said only she think they did it…)
March 27th, 2007 at 10:39 am
I Think it’s a toss up between milo, and doyle… It is a little random that they brought him back this season, and it would make sense if that turned out to be the reason. he would make a great mole due to the fact that people automatically trust him, since he’s worked at ctu in the past. It would be quite the twist… but honestly i hope it’s doyle if for nothing else, i just really don’t like the guy.
March 27th, 2007 at 7:41 pm
w00t!
March 30th, 2007 at 11:37 pm
Guys…
It’s the guy who thought he could pull a favor with Doyle. He’s the most expendable, he’s the only one with any leverage (real or imagined) in this situation, and he’s the one in a position to have handled the evidence. Think about it. The FIRST we hear about this little device is when he’s trying to make a deal… everyone else involved Does The Right Thing from then on, INCLUDING Doyle. And what does this guy stand to gain? Well, he’s obviously the one who actually perpetrated whatever atrocities we’ve been led to believe Doyle was responsible for back in Denver.
Given the access, and the motivation, it’s Random Dude Who Presented Evidence.
As for Lisa — apart from her being incredibly hot, and not just for how she looks — yeah. But we’ve got another 5-8 hours before we find out what her role in all of this is. She’s watching all too carefully while Tom does his ethical inner thrashing… we’re going to see what she can learn from his mistakes, and we’re going to see her make a huge play, but not anytime soon. And not in connection with something as minor as leaking satcom from nadia’s workstation.
April 2nd, 2007 at 7:20 pm
I never thought it was Morris, or Lisa (but I never liked her, she always was up to no good). I had wondered about Milo, Nadia, and Doyle (I don’t like Doyle either). Even though they are all cleared up now I still think those three still are going to be involved in something bad.
