Last episode we were left wondering how is Charles Logan, the idiot President from last season, going to play into this season. What does he know? How does he know Gredanko?

I found a lot of previews on YouTube for tonight’s episode. I’ll post them up here and then we can talk about them after the jump.

Preview shown after last week’s episode:

Here’s a 17 second clip sponsored by Sprint:

Here’s a very interesting clip. I don’t know where it came from, but it’s of Gredanko talking about being the ‘real’ bad guy in this season:

Come join in on the discussion…

As always the preview that was shown after the episode last week is the one that’s the most full of information. So, Charles Logan is back, and by the looks of it he wants his wife back or something like that. The preview was edited in such a way that after Jack said “I think he’s after something else.” It then showed Logan staring at a picture of him and his wife. That guy is plain nuts. Does he want Jack to hook them back up? I’m not sure Jack is much of a match maker. Plus, I bet Martha (Charles’ wife from last season) hooked it up with Aaron Pierce after the season was over.

I hope we see Aaron again. I really like him. He’s a great character and has been on the show since the beginning. It’s hard to live in the world of 24 any longer than a few seasons. Aaron has managed to survive all 5, and maybe 6. That’s quite a feat.

Now, about the assassination attempt? Will it happen? Will this be the last we see of Wayne Palmer? Or will something happen that stops it? What does everyone think? What are your speculations? Sorry that was a lot of questions in a row.

I’m thinking it gets stopped somehow. But, who knows. I’m also inclined to believe that the bomb will be the cliffhanger and we won’t really know what happened until the next episode. You know they could do that.

Now, about the clip with Gredanko talking to his henchman. That’s a pretty interesting clip. So, the Russians are planning this whole thing so that the U.S. and the Middle East kill each other? Hmmm…that’s an interesting plan. I’m excited to see where all this is going.

As always place all your predictions, assumptions, inclinations in the comments. But, please no spoilers.

Okay, for me it’s hard to read Logan at this point. How does one get over being smarmy in just 2 years? He doesn’t act like someone who’s just had their epiphany. Two clues that leave me hoping he’s on the level are his looking at Martha in the photo with him, and the passage highlighted in the Bible. I think it’s hard to read the Bible and not be affected by it, and it’s reinforced by the highlighting of certain passages. I don’t think one does that without a degree of sincerity. But..who knows? Only The Shadow Knows…

I started to give Tom some slack after last week’s episode because I gleaned maybe he was stringing Reid along just to get more info about the assassination attempt against the president.. tonight’s episode actually softened me up for Tom becoming The Good Guy. I thought he was clever to turn the valve on to attract attention to himself, but really thought he was going to be killed because he was a witness. I’m hoping Tom’s character is in for the long haul, because to me he’s like an agent provocatuer and could lend some real spice to the show.

Don’t know *what* to think of Morris, and I feel sorry for Chloe that she has to deal with the uncertainty of Morris’ actions during a crises. I was beginning to think he was a creep until he threw the liquor down the sink. I *really* want to like this guy. I like his accent ;> heh heh [ohh..and I like Chloe better as a blond.]

Now, on to the president. Last week I wanted to smack him because he still seemed too wussy-like, but tonight’s episode has me noticing he’s got an edge and he’s acting a little more aggressive. Also, I guess his raised eyebrows and sleuthful furtive looks are supposed to show the viewer he’s alert, aware, and smells something fishy, right? IOW, he’s no fool. I like that. So, I hope he survives and his wounds are no more serious than a few paper cuts. heh heh The show ended with me thinking everyone around the president was killed, although intuitively I think it’s not possible. What’ll y’all think? During this episode I had to remind myself again to breathe.

    heh

    Hey poeticjustice

Thanks for the link, but it appears to be a paid web site. Do you know of any web site that has 24 shows with a fee to watch them

    Thanks

    Tom
