So, it looks like we may not have seen the last of Ethan Kanin. Yes, I know… Taylor’s getting a new Chief of Staff this season. According to Ausiello, though, that doesn’t mean Ethan has no place on the show anymore. In fact, it sounds like he may even have a better position (or at least a larger role in the series in some other way). A reader had written to him asking what the new guy means for Ethan’s future. Ausiello said that he fares pretty well in the whole deal.
So, this kinda makes me wonder about something. Ethan and Alison have been pretty friendly throughout the season and all the problems they had to face. In fact, I saw a lot of fans writing about the subtext there seemed to be between them and how they were clearly involved. Now, I don’t really think that they were last season (she did, after all, seem to be happily married. At least until the last episode or two when Henry started blaming her job for everything). Now, though? I can definitely see something developing and I think that Ausiello’s comment is a hint at that.
