Top Ten 24 Events to Look Forward to in 2007: #8

by Aaron

Something I’m really hoping for in this season of 24 is that it be “mole free.” That’s right I said it. It’s just that It’s become a little easy to spot the mole inside CTU. I would like a season where CTU actually did background checks on all their new employees they have to bring in.

It would be nice to see Jack just have to battle with people outside of CTU. I think it would be more of a surprise if there wasn’t a traitor within the government. Either way I’ll watch though. The thing is whenever 24 throws another traitor at us they do it a little different every time. So we accept it, and just hope Jack meets up later with them and breaks their fingers.

I agree with this assessment. I don’t think you can top the president being the traitor in Season 5. If they have a traitor in the government or CTU next season, then it will be somewhat of an anti-climax. Who cares if chloe’s boyfriend or techno-geek nemesis is a mole, that’s not bigger than Logan’s betrayal. Now if Chloe turned bad, that would be a surprise. Or if Jack turned communist and takes down the government. That would come as a shock.

    Thanks for the comment Ched.
Yeah I’m hoping that we’re mole free this season. Unless they can find a new innovative way to have another traitor, I think it should just be Jack taking on the world, with the help of CTU.
